About the event
The Sutton 10k is an annual race hosted by Sutton Runners. It takes place in May in the beautiful
Nonsuch Park and is run on a mix of road and paths in the park. The race is part of the Surrey Road League series and is chip-timed.
Both start and finish are located close to the Mansion House in Nonsuch Park, where toilets and
refreshments are available. All finishers will receive a T-shirt, snack and water.
The Sutton 10k is run under UKA rules so headphones are not permitted. Dogs, pushchairs and
cycles are also prohibited.
The Course
The race is a two lap course passing through Nonsuch Park, Cheam Park and the surrounding roads.
The route is clearly marked with km markers and it is well marshalled. A third shorter loop winds back
past the Mansion House and towards to the finish. Water will be available at the 5km point and at
the finish line.
Getting Here
The closest station is Cheam, from which Nonsuch Park is a 10-15 minute walk away.
Bus routes 151, 213 and X26 all stop at Cheam Village Broadway. Bus route 93 stops at North Cheam
Priory Road, and the 293 stops at Nonsuch Park London Road.
Parking
There are four free car parks at Nonsuch Park and Cheam Park. These have limited spaces so please
park considerately. There is also parking at Cheam Library and Cheam Station. Charges may apply.
Please allow yourself plenty of time to park and walk to the venue. The race starts at 09:30.
Baggage Drop
There is a bag drop facility in the starting area but any personal property is left at the owner’s risk.
Please attach your baggage tag before dropping your belongings off.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the 1st , 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers, as well as 1st , 2nd and 3rd in age
groups FV35 and MV40. There will also be prizes for the fastest finishers in the age groups FV45, FV55, MV 50 and MV60, plus awards for the fastest male and female teams (4 men or 3 women to
score). Prize-giving takes place in the start area at roughly 11:30.
Results
Our chip timing system means you can print out your time after you finish. Full results will be
available on our website after the race.
Photos
Race photography is provided by our volunteers so give them a wave! Photos can be viewed and
downloaded free of charge on our website after the race.
