The race consists of 2 laps, passing through Nonsuch Park & Cheam Park on tarmac paths and on the surrounding roads. The route will be clearly marked with kilometre markers and well marshalled.
A short 3rd loop will take you right past the Mansion House and to the finish which is situated next to the start line. Please run through the finish and into the funnel as directed by the marshals. Mementoes will be handed out at the end of the funnel.
Please obey the marshals’ instructions, respect other users of the Park and take particular care when near the public highway – your safety is our prime concern.
Headphones should not be used during the race as these create a hazard when you cannot hear marshal’s instructions and the lead bikes warnings. If you are seen using headphones, you will be asked to leave the race, and will receive no chip time. These rules WILL be enforced on the day.
We highly encourage all entrants to catch public transport to the event or to car pool where possible.

There are 4 free carparks available at Nonsuch & Cheam Parks with limited spaces:
P1 – Tudor Close Cheam Park
P2 – Nonsuch park off London Rd (Ewell entrance)
P3 – Nonsuch Park off London Rd (Stoneleigh entrance)
P4 – Nonsuch Park Cheam Gate entrance
There are also 3 car parks in Cheam Village. Spaces available as follows:
P5 – Cheam Library 78 spaces (30p on Sunday)
P6 – Kingsway Rd 81 spaces (30p on Sunday)
P7 – Cheam Station 115 spaces (£4.70 on Sunday)
PLEASE NOTE: PARKING AT CHEAM GATE IS VERY LIMITED. Marshals will be placed to direct you to the parking areas at the Cheam Gate entrance to Nonsuch park. Please follow their directions and arrive early if you wish to park in this carpark, as it will close early.
Please allow yourself plenty of time to find parking and walk to the venue.
Race instructions will be emailed to you ahead of the race. Collection of your Race Number and Timing Chip will be at the event registration tent on the day of the event, and will be open from 8.00am. Go to the run HQ, tell them your name and you will be given an allocated number and safety pins. You will then have everything you need to run.
You should not allow anyone to run with your number without formally notifying us prior to the race – if you do, the runner who runs under your name will not be eligible for any prizes and you and the runner who runs under your name may be banned from future races and may be reported to the relevant athletics authorities.
Your Race number must be pinned to the FRONT of your running vest/t-shirt. Please ensure you complete the medical information on the rear of your number before the race.
Athletes with disabilities wishing to enter the event are advised to discuss their entry with Lorraine Martin, Race Director email sutton10K@suttonrunners.org. Entrants are advised that dogs, wheeled carriages and cycles are banned from the race.
There will be an area where bags can be left, they will be watched but they are left at your own risk. You will be given a separate label containing your race number, which you will need to attach to your bag before depositing in the baggage area. Please do not leave valuables in your baggage.
Water will be available at the 5k point and finish line.
There are toilets/change area available at the Mansion House, although it is always preferable to arrive ready changed. Portaloos will also be available, but toilets are limited. A café is also available at the Mansion House.
St Johns Ambulance will be in attendance on the day. If you have a problem please speak to a marshal.
All competitors enter and compete at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety. We discourage the use of personal stereos which can make it difficult to hear instructions from course marshals. The organisers have made every effort to ensure the event will pass off safely.
Runners must consent for their medical details to be released by the medical team to the race organiser (to inform next of kin and statutory authorities) in the event of a medical emergency.
Male, female & age related prizes; Team prizes (4 men to score & 3 women). Prize giving will be at approximately 11.30am outside the Pavilion.
All race results are live so as soon as we have the results in we can print them out / upload them prior to prizegiving. Results will be available on our website soon after the race: www.suttonrunners.org. Please note, in order to assist with recording of results and finishing order, we intend to video runners as they finish. The video will be used for this purpose only and not passed to any other party.
Photos will be taken by one of our club members and be available for viewing on our website www.suttonrunners.org shortly after the event.
